Summer is coming to a close, my friends. The leaves will be changing soon, the days will be shorter, and the weather colder. So what do we do? We must enjoy what little time we have left with playful summer, by taking advantage of the most popular pastime which sits at its peak during these warm months.

Rant on the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill

This spring and summer, individuals around the globe watched on in helpless horror as an oil well which never should have been drilled in such deep water to begin with gushed forth barrel after barrel of crude into the once-beautiful Gulf of Mexico.

As day after day of the nightmare disaster stretched on, those of us possessing the ability to appreciate the darkest of humor were treated to a 24/7 helping of bitter chuckles to top off our tears of despair while BP tried method after failed method, each steadily seeming more and more preposterous, of stopping the endlessly gushing oil.

After seeing British heavy-metal- legends Iron Maiden live in 2008 on the incredible "Somewhere Back in Time" tour, and earlier this year on "The Final Frontier" tour, my expectations were very high for the band's first new studio album in nearly 4 years.

After hearing a leaked copy of the album a few days before its official release, I was very surprised but by no means disappointed.
